ARC Forms

THE FORMS ON THIS PAGE ARE FOR ARCHITECTURAL MODIFICATIONS.

Multiple Architecture Review Forms (A R Cs or ARCs) have been developed to make it easier for you to submit a complete architectural modification request package the first time and prevent the review process from being delayed. Your package being submitted should consist of:

  • the cover page form that provides additional information for the review and acknowledgement of the requirements.
  • the specific architecture review form.
  • any pictures or diagrams to clarify the modification style and/or placement on the property.
  • any necessary insurance documents and licenses.

The forms available here for download are the Cover Page (pdf) and the following work-specific forms:

Paint Architecture Review Form (pdf) – includes approved color options for exterior house painting.  To see a color sample chart, click here.  Please note that whatever primary house color you choose, you must use the two trim colors, as indicated, on the same line.  Note that the colors may not show up accurately on all devices, so please verify against the swatches in the paint store.

Re-Roofing Architecture Review Form (pdf) – includes the standard tile, the standard color options, and the contact information for the single source supplier in South Florida.  To see a color sample chart, click here.  Note that these colors may not show up accurately on all devices, so please verify your selection with the vendor.

Driveway Resurfacing / Expansion / Replacement Architecture Review Form (pdf) – includes the approved surfaces, color options, and information regarding where to find the City of Margate’s municipal code regarding driveway expansion limits and construction requirements.  To see a color sample chart for approximate color, click here.

General Architecture Review Form (pdf) – is required for work to be done to the exterior of your property that is not covered by one of the three forms above.  Port Antigua has some standards relevant to these other architectural modifications. For example, the standard fence is wood shadowbox and if the fence is being stained, click here to view the stain color options.

Please print the cover page and the appropriate architecture review form(s) for your desired work and fill them out.  If you need assistance, please check the Contact Us page.

The Cover Page, the Architecture Review Form(s), and the supporting documents must be submitted to the management company AND approved by the Board BEFORE work starts. Violators will be subject to fines and, depending on the problem, the work may be subject to removal/reversal at the owner’s expense!

The City of Margate has an updated municipal codes web site for permit applications that includes information and the City-wide standards for many of the architectural modifications.  The site also includes minimum permit requirements including specifications for a shadowbox fence, maximum driveway widths, and other relevant information.   The link to Margate’s Permit and Applications Forms web site is www.margatefl.com/197.
